Default having been made in the conditions of a certain Mortgage made by Lindon W Wiser, ASM to Alden State Bank of PO Box 39, Alden, MI 49612, dated September 14, 2004 and recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds for the County of Charlevoix and State of Michigan, on September 17, 2004 at Liber 636 Page 948 of Mortgages, which mortgage there is claimed to be due at the date of this notice, for principal and interest, the sum of Thirty Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Forty Four and 20/100 ($38,944.20) and no proceedings having been instituted to recover the debt now remaining secured by said mortgage, or any part thereof, whereby the power of sale contained in said Mortgage has become operative;

This is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.
Default has occurred in the conditions of a mortgage made by JOEL F. WASYLEWSKI and KIMBERLEE WASYLEWSKI, husband and wife, Mortgagor(s), to FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF GAYLORD, n/k/a INDEPENDENT BANK, having its principal office at 4200 East Beltline, Grand Rapids, MI 49525, Mortgagee, dated December 27, 2001 and recorded January 10, 2002 in Liber 452 of Mortgages, Page 977, together with a mortgage extension agreement recorded in Liber 787, on Page 301. LEAF AND BRUSH PICK UP

Charlevoix Township employees have begun vacuuming leaves and will finish on May 31st.
Leaves must be in piles at the side of the road.
Piles of leaves may not contain rocks, twigs or other yard waste.

Willcome Tree Service has been hired to do the branch and tree trimmings pick up on May 31st for the north side and June 1st for the south side. Branches must be at the roadside by May 30th.
Branches must be arranged with the large ends facing the road.
Branches cannot be bigger than 6 inches in diameter.
Small twigs will not be picked up. It is too dangerous as they fly back out.
Will not pick up where property has been cleared for building or anything that is considered excessive amounts.

The Charlevoix County Board of Commissioners met May 9, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. in the Charlevoix County Commissioners room. All Commissioners were present.
Motion approved the minutes of the April 25, 2012 meetings as corrected.
Motion approved Resolution #12-047, Approve County Expenditures.
Motion approved Resolution #12-048, Application for Funding Through the 2012 Michigan Community Development Block Grant-CDBG Housing Program.
Motion adjourned the meeting at 11:10 a.m.

The Charlevoix City Council met on the above date with Mayor Norman L. Carlson, Jr. presiding. All Council members were present. The following proceedings took place:

The Mayor gave a certificate of appreciation to Carolyn Hickman, for her service on the Housing Commission.
Motion passed approving the annual agreement with the Charlevoix Area Chamber of Commerce.
Motion passed approving the annual agreement with the Charlevoix City Band.
Motion passed approving the emergency siren policy.
Motion passed approving the contract with MDC Contracting in the amount of $11,877 to complete storm drain repair.
Motion passed approving the contract with Team Elmer’s to provide serves to 304 E. Dixon.
Motion passed approving the purchase of blocks of electric capacity through MPPA for the years 2014-2018.
Motion passed approving the contract for fish waste removal with John Cross.
Motion passed confirming the Mayor’s appointment of Brandon Stevens to the Recreation Advisory Board.
Motion passed appointing Greg Bryan as alternate to the ZBA.
Council adjourned at 7:40 p.m.

The Charlevoix Area Community Pool will hold its annual meeting at the Gray Gables Restaurant on
Thursday June 7th at 5:00pm.  The public is invited to attend.

There will be a volunteer appreciation dinner immediately following the business meeting.  For those who
would like to join us for dinner, please call the pool by May 29th at 547-0982 to make a reservation.
The cost of the dinner is $20 per person.
